What is the earliest that my pet can be groomed?
It is good to start grooming your pet at around 10 weeks old, so that they become accustomed to the grooming equipment and environment at an early age. For the first four months, we recommend a grooming once a month, and then once every two months after that.
Recommendations for before and after a trip to the groomers

- Before going to the groomers, take your dog for a walk so that they can relieve themselves and try not to feed them immediately beforehand.

- Since pets are often stressed at the groomers, toys and treats will most likely be ignored. The best thing to do is bring them to the groomers and leave as quickly and efficiently as possible—if your dog senses your anxiety, they will have a harder time calming down for the grooming.

- Please wait until the grooming is complete to interact with your dog to avoid distracting your dog, and making them anxious or excited.

Why does my pet scratch themselves after they are groomed?
When you first start bringing your pet in for grooming, they may scratch themselves afterwards. Similarly to people shaving, your pet might be slightly uncomfortable after the first few experiences. Scratching may also occur if your pet had extremely matted fur prior to grooming, which would require a closer shave and thus more irritated skin. Owners should brush their pets hair regularly to prevent the need for a close shave.
How much does grooming cost?
Grooming costs vary based on the condition of your pet's fur and what kind of cut you are looking for. If a pet takes longer to clip down because their fur is severely matted, it will cost more than a quick clip. Also, more stylized cuts may cost extra as well. Please call us for estimates, and we will give you the closest estimate that we can.
